Charlotte Clift Marsden is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer working across fine art, graphic, product, and textile design. Originally from Dallas, TX, she earned a BFA from Baylor University and honed her skills in New York City, working with renowned designer Jonathan Adler. Now based in Austin, Texas, Marsden's work is a vibrant fusion of structured design and organic expression. Her art explores the interplay between natural forms and handcrafted techniques. Influcend by the natural curves of layered earth and the process of erosion, Marsden often uses fiber arts to mimic these geological formations. Her work is characterized by a whimsy, where rhythmic patterns and vibrant colors create a sense of movement and playful energy within a structured framework. Through a meticulously and experimental process, Marsden transforms textiles into dynamic, tactile works of art.
